Reporting is how Tellor provides the data requested by users of the protocol.
For any oracle to truly be decentralized, the data must be submitted and validated permissionlessly. This is why access to participate in the reporting network is unrestricted, with no whitelisting of nodes.
Reporting with Telliot
Telliot is an open-source reporting client maintained by the Tellor team that can be used to report oracle data on any chain where Tellor is available. Spinning up Telliot is the easiest way to start reporting, and if you’re comfortable running terminal, you can become a reporter.
