Why This Matters
Rewards were being rounded down to the nearest whole number, using decimals makes it more accurate. Additionally, we’re changing from using the queryId to queryData for queryMeta. Using the queryID alone doesn’t provide detailed information about the data being reported, but using queryData allows for more detailed metadata and can be decoded to give cleary insights into the nature of a given query.
Process
The expedited governance proposal was introduced on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, with a voting period that will conclude 24 hours later. The chain will halt at block 1607234 to apply the necessary software update, at which point the binary will be v0.7.1-alpha1.
