We will be upgrading Tellor Palmito Testnet on Monday, March 23rd at approximately 11:30am EST!
The upgrade introduces TokenBridge V2 and a set of Tellor Layer improvements designed to enhance long-term security, flexibility, and upgrade resilience.
The upgrade enables a smooth transition from the existing TokenBridge to TokenBridge V2 while preserving all bridged TRB and maintaining continuity for users. TokenBridge V2 introduces more robust pause mechanics, improved governance controls, and clear separation between legacy and new bridge activity, strengthening Tellor’s ability to respond to future network events without requiring disruptive token changes.
As part of this upgrade, Tellor Layer will execute a single synthetic withdrawal message to migrate the locked TRB balance from the legacy TokenBridge V1 directly to the new TokenBridge V2 contract. Because the legacy bridge has a built-in 5% withdrawal rate limit, this migration will occur gradually to ensure a secure and orderly transition. Users do not need to take any action; their funds will be automatically transferred and remain fully accessible throughout the process.
To ensure a smooth upgrade, users are advised not to deposit TRB within 12 hours prior to the upgrade. Withdrawals submitted before the upgrade will continue to be processed normally afterward.
This upgrade reflects Tellor’s commitment to building infrastructure that is resilient and designed to operate independently of any single team. This is aligned with Tellor’s long-term mission of decentralized, censorship-resistant data.
